Gas Tank Reconditioning

First you remove the tank from the 240Z

Then gather ceaner/degreaser Marine Clean from POR-15 and a box of roofing nails. rubber gloves ect.

Pluged all of the lines with aluminum foil and zip ties then degreased and rinced tank 5 times.

to remove the fuel sender there is a slip ring.

Pulled the sender and gasket and slip ring to inspect inside of tank .

look at the crap that is in this tank.

More crap

How much more crap can there be in this tank ?

So I have now poured the Marine Clean in the tank 1/2 gallon and filled it up with water. instructions say to agitate it every few hours.( so I go outside and yell at the gas tank the neighbors think im nuts anayway) and to leave it for 24 hours. so I am currently waiting .

More tomorow.
