s30 l28et swap help y2daniel1981

Hey Daniel

blue/red wire the fuel punp relay just needs to goto a key switched power source . It will need to handle the fuel pump amperage, look for a big key switched wire.

Are you using the ZX or the 240Z fuse link box ? Either way there should be a bus on the + side. All of the fuse links have one side that goes to the + terminal of the battery and the others feed differend circuits.
What color wires do you have comming off the 240Z fuse links on the circuit side ? what do the feed ?

In a 280ZX
Black fusable link is 80 Amps and will feed will the Ignition relay and the accesories relay which feeds things like like body lighting, AC, radio

Red fusable link /might look brown is 50 Amps and will feed EFI Relay, Ignition/ fuel pump, some of fuse block.

Green fusable linis 40 Amps and will feed EFI Injectors.

There should be a heavy gauge starter wire also going from the + terminal of the battery to the starter.
" brown and green wires are to go to the (+) terminal on the Starter."
I think that the wires do not have to be physicaly run to the starter. but they will have the exact same electrical potential.

( did that make any since ?)

"And on the ignition harness connector, where do the 2 black wires go? " Do they have white lines on them ? are they on the turbo harness or on the 240Z ?

Other helpful diagram.
